After being forcibly removed from his county town birthplace in southwestern England, Tai was brought to the American Midwest to be trained in all things Americana. In the ensuing years he learned to turn his dry, English-born sense of humour against his friends and family, looking to give a good-natured ribbing to anyone with whom he felt comfortable. Unfortunately, that didn't take him very far in Indiana and so he escaped to the Deep South city of New Orleans, ostensibly to study. There he spent most of his time either in run-down bars and clubs or holed up in his house, arranging his side-of-the-road furniture or dealing with the jungle in his backyard. After suffering through constant humidity, tropical storms, and Mardi Gras run-off, he was persuaded to move to Los Angeles. Nowadays, he looks forward to taking trips into the wilderness and is formulating his next escape plan. |
